September 3rd, 2018. Today I learned that you haven't lived life until you seek discomfort. Yes Theory, a popular youtube channel, challenges their viewers to get out of their comfort zone by exploring, creating, thinking, taking risks, and most importantly just living. During their videos they conquer challenges that present personal fears, and they include random strangers in their videos to motivate them to overtake their fears as well.
September 5th, 2018. Today I learned that the show Lost, a favorite show of mine, exhibited diversity like no other show had at the time. The many cultures include: Korean, Arabic, African American, Scottish, French, British, and Chinese. Television shows and movies of today undoubtedly portray diversity to the point where it has become normal. However, back then this was revolutionary and with the show being as popular as it was, it was a stepping stone for future television shows to build off of.
September 7th, 2018. Today I learned that world renowned artist and producer, Mac Miller, tragically passed away from a drug overdose. This came as a shock to many people including myself. As a fan of his music, it's devastating to see such a promising life and career cut short. His most iconic quote, "No matter where life takes me find me with a smile," will live on in our hearts forever, and he'll take that line with him into the afterlife.
September 9th, 2018. Today I learned that there was a shooting at an Alabama McDonald's leaving 1 person dead and 4 others injured. Just before the shooting, students were celebrating the Auburn Tigers' football game win over the Alabama State Hornets. It's a tragedy that incidents like this one, happen time and time again. There needs to be something done to enforce sturdier gun laws to avoid these preventable situations.
September 11th, 2018. Today I Learned that it's been 17 years since the attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon took place. This moment in history will never be forgotten and the lives that were lost will always be remembered. Tragedy struck when two commercial airlines collided into both towers, and another commercial airline crashed into the Pentagon. There was also a fourth plane that crash landed into a field taking the lives of everyone on the plane. We will always remember this dark time in our nation's history, it is and always will be unforgettable.
September 13th, 2018. Today I learned that Trump's campaign manager stated that "Google is a threat to the Republic.
President Donald Trump’s 2020 campaign manager blasted Google after an internal video recording of company executives lamenting the 2016 presidential outcome was leaked to the media on Wednesday.
Brad Parscale, the campaign manager, called the content in the video a “threat to the Republic,” and demanded that Google's leadership testify before lawmakers on Capitol Hill.
The video was recorded after the 2016 presidential election during one of Google’s “TGIF meetings.”
“Myself, as an immigrant and a refugee, I certainly find this election deeply offensive and I know many of you do, too,” said Google co-founder Sergey Brin in the video. “And I think it’s a very stressful time and it conflicts with many of our values.” At this point in Trump's Presidency, he could do anything and it wouldn't be surprising anymore.
September 15th, 2018. Today I learned that MIAMI (AP) — A heavy-duty response already is slogging through heavy rains and floodwaters to help people trapped or displaced by Florence's watery onslaught. Storm winds might be dropping, but rivers are rising and the next few days could bring the most destructive round of flooding in North Carolina history. As of right now, 11 people have tragically lost their lives.
September 17th, 2018. Today I learned that it's the legendary Phil Jackson's birthday and he turns 73 today. His legacy is cemented as one of the greatest coaches of all time, coaching the like of Shaq, Kobe, and Jordan. He led the 90's Bulls team and early 00's Lakers team to win a combined 11 championships. He also won a championship as a player, being a top reserve for the 1973 New York Knicks. Jackson was inducted into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame as a part of the Class of 2007.
September 19th, 2018. Today I learned that their was another shooting in Wisconsin at a workplace injuring 3 people. The gunman was killed by police officers. Middleton police initially advised residents to lock their doors and stay inside. Police later declared that no other suspects are outstanding and the public is no longer in danger. It's almost normal that these shootings occur on an almost day to day basis. This can't be normal, not anymore.
September 21st, 2018. Today I learned that a utopian-like society that thrived on emotionless people, a civil obedient population, or worry-free problems, would never or should never be an acceptable way to live. You lose more than you gain in this world, such as, independence, freedom, diversity, and so much more. A human being should experience both the good and the bad, because that's what life is always going to be like.
September 23rd, 2018. Today I learned that All-Star power forward, Anthony Davis, is going to be apart of the Klutch Sports team. Lebron James and Ben Simmons are already signed with Klutch Sports, which is a sports agency company. With the addition of Anthony Davis, the company will get even more recognition and hopefully attract even more notable players around the NBA.
September 25th, 2018. Today I learned that Kavenaugh denied any sexual misconduct claims in a Fox interview. He stated "I'm telling the truth."
In the interview, Kavanaugh emphatically denied Ford's claim against him, telling MacCallum that he was a virgin through high school and for "many years after."
"I was never at any such party," Kavanaugh said. "The other people who alleged to be present have said they do not remember any such party. A woman who was present, another woman who was present who was Dr. Ford’s lifelong friend has said she doesn’t know me and never remembers being at a party with me at any time in her life."
September 27th, 2018. Today I learned that keeping all of my emotions bottled up inside of me, isn't healthy for my mental health. I'm bound to explode if I don't let out my emotions in a healthy way. I had a mental breakdown today, due to the overload of all of my priorities, activities, and assignments. It felt great letting everything out, but I reached a very unhealthy state of mind, and I totally just broke down.
September 29th, 2018. Today I learned that the NBA Preseason is starting. I am an avid fan of the sport of basketball and I am very eager to watch some of my favorite players, such as Derrick Rose, Blake Griffin and Lebron James play. I am also excited to see how each of these players are going to speak up about certain issues plaguing our country, because there voices are prominent and they matter so much to their fans.
October 1st, 2018. Today I learned that it's finally spooky time. Netflix has come out with some new horror movies to make this frightful month, all the more frightful. To relive my childhood, I will be partaking in the trick or treat activity, where I will dress up as Thanos from Infinity War. These fun-filled holidays always provide a mental break for me to re-energize, and re-birth myself.
October 3rd, 2018. Today I learned that pro football player, Cristiano Ronaldo, has rape allegations. The Juventus forward, 33, said he was calm over "any and all investigations" as he had a "clear" conscience over the allegation he attacked Kathryn Mayorga in a Las Vegas hotel room in 2009. He spoke out ahead of her lawyers giving a press conference on Wednesday.
He had previously said the allegation, first reported in German magazine Der Spiegel, was "fake news".
October 5th, 2018. Today I learned how cutthroat the music industry is, and how much drive and passion you need to compete in this industry. I was invited to a charity event where Scooter Braun, Aton Ben-Horin, and Neil Patrick were honored for their accomplishments for a charity and their work through music. I strive to reach that position one day, and I know my will to compete in this industry is unique and I overall just want to be great. I know I'm going to be great there's no doubt about it.
October 7th, 2018. Today I learned that Elon Musk lit up the California night sky with his test rocket launch. This isn't the first time Musk has been seen doing something strange, but very unique, in the night sky. All we can do is guess that he's inventing the hovercar or building his statue on Mars.
October 9th, 2018. Today I learned that if your last day on earth is, in fact, today, then you should live it to it's most full potential in every aspect. After watching the movie, Before I Fall, it gave me an idea that my last day on earth could be better than I plan it to be. I have freedom in all of the positive decisions I choose to embark on.
October 11th, 2018. Today I learned that the Youtube channel, NELK, is arguably one of the funniest channels on Youtube. Their content consists of them pretending to be employees for a number of companies and then play pranks on the customers. They have an odd, but hilarious set of personalities and they are very different from most youtubers.
October 13th, 2018. Today I learned that Starbucks sells pretty dank bacon egg sandwiches. My uncle went out to purchase me some breakfast and when he came back, he presented me with the food. The first bite had me melting internally and I knew instantly I was in love. Alright, I'm being sarcastic, but it was a good sandwich.
October 15th, 2018. Today I learned that Dean is possessed by the angel Michael. Sam and team have been trying to locate him for the past couple months but have come up short. If you've watched the show before then you know that the Winchesters will get out of this situation.
October 17th, 2018. Today I learned that the NBA season is going to be great this year. Last night, was the season opener for NBA basketball, and it didn't disappoint. It was a star-studded, exciting couple of games last night, between a few popular teams, that definitely had fans jumping out of their seat, and cheering.
October 19th, 2018. Today I learned that the ones we love; the ones we lose in our lives are never gone. They're always with us, and the last memory we have of them is huge in how we remember them. How we carry on their legacy. Even when someone leaves your life, they're still alive. There will always be a connection between the ones you love that aren't in your life anymore, because you love them.
October 21st, 2018. Today I learned that I am going to be a consultant for the company A&R Worldwide. I will be finding bands daily, in hopes of coming across a breakout act. This is where my journey into the music business starts. This is where the next chapter of my life begins. Beware though, this chapter may be kind of lengthy.
October 23rd, 2018. Today I learned that fashion is an amazing culture. Throughout the generations, fashion has had it's own unique skin. It's astonishing how creative people are and how impactful fashion is on modern media. Every year fashion becomes more political, amazing, unique, creative, and so much more. Fashion forever,
October 25th, 2018. Today I learned that a 2000 ft long ocean pipe, named "Wilson", is singlehandedly trying to save our ocean. It's purpose is to collect old plastic and garbage that has been littered into the ocean. Hopefully Wilson can save the planet before 2030.
Everyday I am exposed to news that could be great, or even news that could be horrible. But, the one constant is that the things I learn shape my ideals, the person I am, and the way I live my life. Today, I am learning something new.
September 4th, 2018. Today I learned that juuling not only is teens' new vice, but one juul pod contains 5% nicotine which is about a pack of 20 cigarettes. It's an addiction. No, it's an obsession and it's making our youth dependent on these devices. Falling victim to nicotine is no joke, and it can take years to escape it's imprisonment.
September 6th, 2018. Today I learned that the Cranberries front woman Dolores O'Riordan died by drowning due to alcohol intoxication, an inquest at Westminster Coroner's Court has heard. Toxicology tests showed only "therapeutic" amounts of medication in O'Riordan's blood, but showed up 330mg of alcohol per 100ml of blood - meaning she was more than four times over the 80mg legal limit for driving.
September 8th, 2018. Today I learned that former President Barack Obama took shots at President Trump. He stated that, "Trump is a symptom, not the cause of division. That's the story of America," he said. "A story of progress." But that progress, Obama noted, has not been a straight line — sometimes, it's two steps forward, one step back. And each time there is progress, someone incites backlash to stymie it, he said.
September 10th, 2018. Today I learned that Hurricane Florence, a category 4 hurricane has barreled through the Mid-Atlantic states. The already powerful Hurricane Florence grew even stronger early Monday afternoon as the storm continued barreling across the Atlantic Ocean with an eye set on parts of the U.S. mid-Atlantic coast. Forecasters at the National Hurricane Center said in a special noon advisory, that Florence rapidly intensified to a potentially catastrophic Category 4 hurricane with maximum sustained winds near 130 mph. We can only pray for everyone affected and hope there are no casualties.
September 12th, 2018. Today I learned that Apple is coming out with a new iPhone called the iPhone XS. As usual, Apple was describe its innovative features but we all know that it's the same as the last two phones. It does, however, allow you to have two different phone numbers with the dual SIM card they have added. Let's just hope they don't sell this phone for over 1k.
September 14th, 2018. Today I learned that Nike is at the top of the world alongside Colin Kaepernick. Kaepernick who lost his job in the NFL, for kneeling during the national anthem to stand up against police brutality, and unjust crimes that involve race, became the face of Nike. This advert has sparked much controversy around the country, and many right-winged conservatives aren't happy with Nike and in-turn threw away/burned their Nike merch. However, the vast majority of people are standing with Nike and Colin Kaepernick in hopes that the two can be the face of the change our country so desperately needs.
September 16th, 2018. Today I learned that Amazon's Alexa can tell you more information about sports, such as giving you the odds of certain NFL game outcomes. This highly intuitive device is very reliable and convenient for many people. I am always amazed at how technology develops each year and how efficient technology runs. I wonder what next big thing is going to take over the tech market.
September 18th, 2018. Today I learned from a Ted Talk that you should love the people you think deserve it the least because they're the ones that need it the most. Also, when someone treats you like a person when you don't even feel like a human it'll change your entire world. Ultimately, when you have nothing to lose you can do anything. Bullying is an epidemic in high schools and we need to be the change to prevent these hurting individuals from committing unspeakable crimes, because they're usually at a very low spot because of their home life. We are the change.

September 20th, 2018. Today I learned that people you call "friends" aren't really your "friends" unless you trust them with your whole heart. I learned on this specific day that some of my closest friends who I thought I trusted would be complete strangers. I believe egotism and selfishness play a role in the reason why people exit our lives, but the roots of those thoughts will always remain as an unknown to me.
September 22nd, 2018. Today I learned that consistently keeping my body in a healthy shape, is not only good for me physically, but it helps me recover mentally from any un-needed stress. When I take long breaks from going to the gym, I tend to relapse into a lazy physical state and a toxic mentality that drags me down. Whether it be lifting weights, or doing cardio, a trip to the gym pays off in the long run.

September 24th, 2018. Today I learned that Cuco, a Spanish singer, creates soundtracks that are very laid back, and almost for people who are tripping out. It's interesting to learn about different forms of music, and I appreciate being able to learn and digest these different artists styles of music. Cuco is definitely a must, and anyone who can understand his style of music, is going to get their ears blessed.
September 26th, 2018. Today I learned that Donald Trump is really a disappointing, unprofessional, uneducated asshole after his first solo news conference in over a year. His statements were overly opinionated, rather than being based on facts, but at this point it isn't a surprise. I am literally in awe of how low the bar has gone for presidency, but if there's one takeaway from this god-awful press conference, we now know that the "Democrats would have voted against George Washington."
September 28th, 2018. Today I learned that everyone has brain farts. My biggest brain fart of the day was when I tried to microwave some Kraft Mac n Cheese. I forgot to add water to the noodles and I set the microwave to 3:30. Around the 2:00 mark, the microwave started to smoke and I destroyed the microwave, as well as the Mac n Cheese inside of it. The biggest takeaway from this experience is that I will not be cooking anything for a long time.
September 30th, 2018. Today I learned how much addiction to substances can affect the course of the rest of your life. Seeing my friends putting drugs before ambitions is heartbreaking, and the need to live with these harmful substances is just wrong. When exposed to these substances during your youth, while your brain is still developing, it drastically changes the outcome of your whole life. At the end of the day, its all mental.
October 2nd, 2018. Today I learned it was my sister's 20th birthday. She has been the best big sister any brother could ask for. She taught me how to act socially around people, how to be a polite person, and just new things everyday. She works hard and haves fun and I strive to be as happy as she, doing whatever my passion is, when I am 20 like herself.
October 4th, 2018. Today I learned that I am going to be meeting Scooter Braun at a charity event. As much of an influencer and genius he is, I must utilize this moment to get as much advice as I can get from this man. The advice of the most successful in this world is priceless and something to learn from each and everyday.
October 6th, 2018. Today I learned how long it's been since Derrick Rose's glory days. Rose turned 30 on the 4th and his highlight reel, in honor of his birthday, was absolutely insane. The acrobatic layups, flashy passes, powerful dunks, and clutch game winners gave people something to remember about the former MVP. Rose, who is my idol, will always be the kid from Chicago who made it big.
October 8th, 2018. Today I learned that Supreme Court nominee, Brett Kavenaugh, won the vote and has since been sworn into the position. Many people are unhappy about this, considering his sexual assault charge, which he was not found guilty. Trump even went on to congratulate Kavenaugh and mock Ford. It's like our office has turned into reality show.
October 10th, 2018. Today I learned that ex-Twolves player, Jimmy Butler, returned to a team practice and called out the gm, coaching staff, KAT and Wiggins, and he even led the benchwarmers to a win against the starters in a scrimmage. Jimmy Butler might be the player that could bring back toughness to the NBA.
October 12th, 2018. Today I learned how small everything actually is. Okay, it's not like I didn't know this before, it's just that everything's been put into perspective for me. Looking through a microscope, I was looking at billions of cells/bacteria. It's like saying if you were to compare me to the biggest object in our universe. It's mind-blowing.
October 14th, 2018. Today I learned that the character Ultima, from the novel Bless Me Ultima died. The novel was very intriguing and I learned a lot about religion and how it can shape the way we live our lives. Although the book was nonfiction, I learned life lessons and I will mold those lessons into the way I live my life.
October 16th, 2018. Today I learned that my best friend Karina Calderon is leaving my life. She texted me out of nowhere saying how she loves me but can't be there for me. It breaks my heart that she's leaving my life. I'm also angry in the sense that she isn't giving me any clarity and any chance. I just want to see her again. I want to be with my Kit Kat.
October 18th, 2018. Today I learned that the Powerball jackpot has grown to $430 million. The line for lottery tickets at your nearby convenience store is about to get even longer. One night after the largest jackpot in Mega Millions history rolled to Friday, Powerball's $378 million prize survived to the next drawing, meaning that the United States' two big lottery games will have a combined $1.3 billion up for grabs at week's end.
October 20th, 2018. Today I learned that time goes by so fast. Two years ago today I was getting into my first relationship. It's like I was in elementary school only yesterday. Around this time last year I was extremely happy and laid back. All of those things feel like forever ago. But, as time goes on, new memories are created.
October 22nd, 2018. Today I learned that frustration, determination, focus, and grit are what you need to pass my microbiology class. With my teacher not being a great teacher, it's up to me to learn the ropes on my own and get shit done. I struggled with this lab we were assigned and my teacher wasn't helping. I put my head down, failed over and over again, then succeeded. Hard work pays off
October 24th, 2018. Today I learned that my volleyball season is going to be very fun. I had tryouts today and being with my old and new teammates made me emotional, because they're like a family to me. I will enjoy every moment of every game this upcoming season.
October 26th, 2018. Today I learned that former President Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, Robert Di Nero, and many other prominent individuals were sent bombs that were luckily intercepted by the secret service. If they somehow didn't intercept the bombs, the United States would truly have reached its' lowest point.
